I wasn’t with my father yesterday and I’m not so sure he did have a Happy Father’s Day. He’s going through hell. In and out of hospital regularly. Lots of infections and complications and today he had his first round of radiotherapy which will be a long drawn out process which will hopefully help. He is the ultimate patient patient. Accepting all that he is going through with immensely good grace and humour. I can’t quite believe what he’s had to go through in the last 7 months and to think that we were travelling around Africa together less than a year ago. I wish they lived closer to me. I struggle to get to see them as often as I’d like.
Builder Bloke had a lovely Father’s Day with his three children. His youngest son made him a card that said “I love you very muck”.
