We all had SUCH a lovely evening last night at my sister-in-law-to-be’s hen night. There was not a chocolate willy in sight – it was so much more chic and cool than that – lucky I didn’t buy those willy straws then or wear that nurses outfit. She has so many lovely friends and a fantastic sister who organised a brilliant event. She had to wear a flashing veil and we all got little party bags, but apart from that she just had to enjoy herself amongst all her friends. Drinks and food started from 5pm (that’s why my hangover is so bad) at Henry J Beans in the King’s Road followed by a chaffeur driven limo to Crazy Larry’s Club just down the road. I haven’t been there for about 150 years but it was really good fun. Thankfully dark enough for me not to feel quite as old as I did every time I stood with all the girls in the light. They are all gorgeously young with shiny clear skin. SO not fair. Several of them were wearing false eyelashes which looked amazing. I told them I was going to get some immediately, but as my other sister-in-law pointed out, at my age I’d probably look more like a drag queen.
Both my brothers are in Barcelona with four friends for the stag weekend. Sounds like it got messy last night. My two brothers got back to their apartment at 6am this morning, having lost everybody else. Two others turned up at 10am because they didn’t know where they were staying and couldn’t find their way home and one of them had been mugged. Oh dear. Not good.

August 29, 2009I'm getting worried my wife to be's hen night is coming up and it sounds like these hen nights can get a bit wild, glad your went off without the strippers and pink limousine hire, I'm having to look for her limo! still me and the boys are doing a weekend paintballing and other really manly things so i've got to keep her happy! When's the wedding?
