HMMM. VERY TRICKY QUESTION. What makes you happy?
Yesterday I was very happy to find that I had over 1,000 hits on my blog, but on closer inspection as to what EXACTLY people were reading, the list of top keywords clicked in the last few hours went something like this:-
Family Affairs
Disney cruises for teenagers
Big bums
Big bums and tits
Big bums and willies
Small bums
exercises for a ‘pert butt’
Adult onesies
Best fake ID
Naked African family
Then this morning, the park made me happy:-
Until I got in my car and drove home listening to the gloomy news about today’s strike and the economy in general.
So what is the secret then to happiness I wonder? My friend (the happiest person I know) Megan Castran has done a video that she posted on Facebook again yesterday – it that has received over 50,000 hits! So I watched that and then popped over to see my friend’s blog in Tanzania and she said that everybody had to watch the following video by Stephen Fry saying basically the exact opposite. So I’m going to post them both and let you see what you think.
Presumably happiness is very much tied in with state of mind and your expectations at the time – my father always used to say that if you lower your expecations you will be happier.
Here is my list of what makes me happy and what makes me sad at the moment:-
WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY
Having a boyfriend
Eating MacDonalds
Being single
My children
Money
WHAT MAKES ME SAD
Having a boyfriend
Eating MacDonalds
Being single
My children
Money
So how does that work then?

November 30, 2011Love your happy/sad lists! Such a tricky one, happiness. At times I think it’s just overrated. But of course it’s not. Maybe something that you can’t find until you stop looking? Ax

November 30, 2011Yup I tuned out. At 3:36 I found myself repeatedly punching the screen and decided to make myself really really happy by pressing the X. It was joyous!

November 30, 2011The one that suggests all the people that find that type of person intensely irritating will tune out lol. I actually consider myself to a perfectly content type, I even find myself whistling like snow white sometimes and yet I don’t have a golden anything. Imagine, no now seriously shut your eyes hard and imagine, how mahoooosively happy I could be if I followed the 5 rules – only 3 of which I stuck around to find out what they were, so I’ve limited myself to only being able to get 40% happier. Which is lucky really because I’m sure if I struck 50% I’d just be wetting myself with delirium everywhere I went.
