My younger brother and his wife are expecting their first baby ANY MINUTE. It’s now nearly a week late and we are all getting very excited and frustrated with the wait. Everything is ready. Bags packed. Beds made. Provisions provided. You know they should be enjoying this almost borrowed time, but it’s so hard to do that – it’s like that time off work my freelance friends have, in between jobs, waiting for another one to be offered to them when they know they should be enjoying themselves, but can’t because it’s such a worry and all so stressful.
When my first child was born my younger brother showed my Grandmother a photo – the one below and much to his amusement she said “aaaah, how sweet – he looks very happy”
HURRY UP. WE CAN’T WAIT!!

November 29, 2011When my brother’s baby was due, he started having really weird dreams about it. The one I remember was where the baby was actually a tiny thing on the end of his key ring! Bit like a troll doll too!

November 29, 2011Ha ha – my brother is doing the same thing – lots of dreams about missing body parts and operations and I think he has guilt and wants her to chop his willy off! Lx
