All three children are now on their Easter holidays. ALL-BLOODY-REDY. HELP!!! What am I going to do with them all? I’m still working for three more weeks.

Teenage son is now in holiday mode when he should be in “f*ck I’m doing my A levels REALLY SOON and haven’t done enough work” mode. Apparently he is about to start doing loads of revision – he will be off to the library SOOOOON – any minute now, or maybe this afternoon, or maybe tomorrow – definitely when I ask him to help me out with some jobs, he will just be off to the library.

In the meantime, whilst still in “just started the holiday party mode”, I came downstairs this morning knowing that he had at least one friend to stay after their night out and found this many shoes:-

Honestly, it’s one thing trying to encourage your children to hang around your house by being fairly relaxed about their endless “gatherings”, its another to hear them all having a BIG LOUD laugh at 2.30pm and then wonder where they all have crashed out when you’ve got to get up really early to take kids to school and go to work.

BUT – here’s the thing – the same son made his debut television performance last night on the Jamie Oliver Dream School Show – did anybody see it??? SO exciting – my brother was on it and my son played a near dead person – was featured as the head of the body my brother made to do open heart surgery with blood gushing everywhere – that all the kids loved.

Here he is – my brother made this mould of his face a while ago – had to virtually set his face in concrete. Then he added hair and a lot of blood and….seriously…..honestly….nobody ever wants to see their child looking like this – he played a road traffic accident victim and it’s just horrible – BE WARNED:-

Just makes you thankful and not mind that your house is a tip and bodies are crashed out everywhere – I DON’T CARE!! He’s gorgeous and alive and not lying on a hospital trolley or been shot in the chest by another teenager like that 5 year old girl in critical condition tonight – although apparently she’s just opened her eyes. Fingers crossed for her then.

Good grief that’s spooky. My fellas love the bit about your brother – when he’s mentioned I have to give up the laptop so they can ooh and ahh at the blood and guts!
