Once again my heart bleeds for all those who lost their lives in the London Bridge terror attack last night. How absolutely terrifying for everyone caught up in the attack whilst enjoying a balmy evening out with friends and family at Borough Market. My office is just around the corner and I had lunch at El Pastor just last week – where last night an attacker ran in and stabbed a woman in the chest. This is simply horrendous news and incredible to think that additionally today, the Manchester concert is going ahead to honour all those killed so recently. There are no words to describe the horror, but like all other Londoners, I will go to my office tomorrow as usual, assuming it’s not still cordoned off and try and get on with ordinary life. I would like to lay some flowers to remember those who lost their lives so brutally. Making people fearful is exactly what they want to do, because that way they can control us. But they will not get the satisfaction of creating that fear because that is not the sort of world any of us want to be living in.
I would love to take this incredible tree, bursting with life and beauty and spread it all around London Bridge and Borough Market to remind everyone how much love there is in the world and that we must not allow this sort of behaviour to change us:-
