The London Marathon 2017 was today and what a day it was. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE INVOLVED!  Some people will still be struggling to get to the finish line. Such an incredible effort.  Emotional beyond. I went to help my brother because my sister-in-law was running on behalf of Amnesty International and because of the crowds, he needed help keeping an eye on their two young children. My son came too. As always it is London at it’s best – determined, supportive and exciting. Just watching that sea of runners, all striving for their own personal reasons, raising huge amounts of money for their chosen charities and brightly lighting the London streets brought a tear to my eye.

Here was the main support team (usually I’m a little bit taller than that):-

This photo, of a man running wearing a bottle of beer suit, simply said it all “London Pride”. That’s what it was:-

And this one shows the general spirit of the day, with the man in the middle hobbling badly and everyone cheering him on:-
