Day not going well so far and it’s only 8am.

My 7 year old has had to cobble a book review together for his homework. First we had a mini drama about how could he possibly write on “crumped” paper. He then writes a review on “Billy The Kid” by Michael Morpurgo. “This is my favourite book because”, bla bla….all good until the end when he writes “I don’t know what happens at the end because I always fall asleep”.

Then I rang my grandmother. “Hi, Nanna, how are you?” “Oh I’m fine thanks, who are you?” So I tell her and then we have quite a long conversation and at the end she says “I’m so sorry, but I really haven’t got a clue who I’m talking to”.

And on a slightly wider scale, we have clearly moved from alarm bells ringing to full on toll bells regarding the credit crunch/recession/depression. The trading floor in America is CALM. Shit. Not good. Here we go, watch those global banks collapse like a pack of cards. No trust left and you can’t do anything in life without trust. All confidence goes.

Poor Nanna. She sounds as thought she is in a vulnerable situation.
I have given up worrying about the state of the world. Things change from hour to hour!
You haven’t had a very happy day, then, up to now!

That bit about your grandmother really made me laugh. At least she was honest enough to admit it!!!
