What an amazing venue for a party. Last night my oldest friend in the world had a very significant birthday (she’s WAY older than me) as did her two daughter’s who were celebrating their 18th and 21st respectively. So as you can imagine it was an amazingly sparkly beautiful party with a fabulous mix of young and old (even if I did make a note to self not to do that myself with my gorgeous children because those girls can make you feel fat, old and wrinkly standing anywhere near them.
One Mayfair used to be a church – not sure what anyone with a religious take on life would feel about it being turned into a party venue, but it was utterly amazing. I forgot to take any photos. We had a ridiculously lovely meal followed by a huge amount of dancing and staggered home at 2am.
I am feeling very very fragile today.
But it was so worth it.
Not a great photo, but taken from above you can see all the tables laid out and it does give you the general idea:-
They have set the bar WAY too high. Going to have to rethink my plans for a pub party I think.
