My 15 year old has been invited to a party tomorrow night at a club in Central London. 7.30pm – 3.30pm. How ridiculous is that? I’m astounded that the parents seem to think 3.30am is OK for 15 year olds. How’s he meant to get home?
Luckily for me, he’s with his father this weekend so he gets to argue with his dad, rather than me about why it’s SOOO unfair that he has to leave before anyone else and be home by midnight. Another mother said to me, “I don’t think there’s any point in them staying after a certain time, I mean after that certain time they really have nothing to do…they’ve talked to everybody and they’re bored” and I was thinking I so don’t agree with you, I can always find something to do at a party and am invariably the last one to leave…

February 23, 2008Missed this earlier – 3.30am in Central London at 15! It’s got to be a nightmare – they always think they can handle it, but experience says otherwise! M xx

February 23, 2008I agree with you, that’s way too late. The parent who thought up that idea is one sandwich short of a picnic. Hope it works out okay.

February 23, 2008That is crazy. UGH people. My LM got invited to his first kids party and the mother had on the invite 1pm – and the part actually started at 11. So my poor baby missed all but 30 minutes of the part. UGH… I’m a little upset, but I know it wasn’t intentional – at least I hope. 😉
