If you ever want to go somewhere gorgeous for lunch that is quintessentially pretty and rural then I recommend you try The Petersham Cafe – lunch is divine, but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, you can just turn up and look around the nursery part and have coffee, cake or lunch in the cafe as an alternative.
A group of us went on Friday for a girlfriend’s very special birthday….we had the most gorgeous time. The food is amazing there. It was quite an emotional day somehow – my lovely friend who was 50 got quite emotional talking about the bunch of women she’d invited to celebrate with her. Looking around the table we all have quite a story to tell – quite apart from the several of us who are divorced or separated, there was one whose husband recently suffered a brain haemorrhage, one whose husband had died, one who was a breast cancer survivor, one whose best friend lost four members of her family in a horrific car crash….and here we all were – fine examples of how even in the face of adversity, life goes on and we all somehow find a way to adapt.
I thought it might be interesting to invite some of the friends to share their stories. The first one I’m going to put into another blog post above this one…
In the meantime, here are some photos of the day:-
