R football

SO PROUD of my son. He is actually getting paid to play football!! It is his dream come true. He was scouted from his university team and is now playing for a PROPER CLUB when he can fit it in amongst his studies and his other team commitments.

Sadly I didn’t see the game as I was busy doing the dutiful daughter thing and trying to help my mother pack up the contents of her life in readiness for a massive downsize. This is a Herculean task. Unenviable and possibly impossible. She has so much STUFF it is unbelievable – this is a woman who even keeps her old hair to give to the birds to make nests. My brothers and I just didn’t know where to begin. So basically we drank our way through it thanks to a rather large hoard of slightly off wine that we found in a cupboard. The slightly off bit must have been the reason for the massive hangover.

Anyway, back to my proud moment with MY SON – although they lost the game he even got Man Of The Match – the match report said:-

“However, the performance – with five new faces in the side against the league leaders – was a lot more encouraging and the management and players must have a brighter vision of what lies ahead.

However, the team did not buckle as newcomer MY SON was outstanding at the heart of the defence against a home side growing in confidence.

Man of the match: MY SON
