I was recently told that “Quantum of Solace” refers to the smallest measurement of compassion one can have for another person. I don’t know if that is true, because how can it be measured, but if it is it should be included in the divorce proceedings, somewhere between Decree Nisi and Decree Absolute.

We saw the film last night. Only 1 out of 8 of us was disappointed. Of course that was me. Casino Royale II – a believable, realistic modern day corporate villain in Dominic Greene meant that we didn’t have a proper Bond baddie in my opinion. In fact the whole thing was far too realistic for a James Bond movie, with hours and hours of very stylish fighting and jumping and escaping fires. Although I would still happily shag Daniel Craig senseless because he’s gorgeous, I felt he’d lost a bit of that iconic edge we know and love in our British James Bond’s. He was lost. But perhaps that was the point.

I’m having a party with a friend of mine tonight AT MY HOUSE. I have done absolutely nothing about preparing for it and haven’t got a thing to wear. It’s for all our local friends and it’s pissing with rain and blowing a gale. Oh well. Nothing better than getting a group of people together when it’s miserable outside. All the local firework displays have been cancelled because of the weather.

Better get a move on…..only two more hours to go.

people are used to bond w all the gadgetry…i know that the first couple didn't have a lot of gadgets & such because ian fleming (the creator) had his say on the films. daniel craig's bond i think is going back to more of what ian fleming's bond is…since it is based on ian's time as a spy.

my husband loves all the other james bond movies…he's a BIG fan. so much so that he has the collection of them all lol his favorite is pierce brosnan's bond. but i actually prefer daniel craig's bond…more realistic & more like the books. plus, it doesn't hurt that he looks incredibly sexy coming out of water w the tiniest of swim shorts! LOL

anyways, i hope i'm not disappointed when i get a chance to see it. :-/
