REAL LIFE GETTING IN THE WAY…

It is so not fair to have to come down from my Award Winning Bloggers pedestal to deal with the rest of my life. My real life is getting in the way of my sparkly dress and high heeled shoes and I’ve had to get back to the real world. It feels like there is a lot of FS to deal with at the moment (family shit). Which REALLY FRUSTRATINGLY is the stuff I would love to write about here, but can’t. Shame. It’s the sort of stuff that we’re all dealing with – you know the type – when you hear something that makes your world stop for a bit. Crash. Pause. Stagger. Lurch. Crawl and finally start up again but with the axis on a slightly different shift. I KNOW. SORRY. I’m being vague and dramatic AND NONE OF IT IS REALLY THAT BAD so don’t worry too much. We are all still alive. That’s the main thing. So now I’ll get emails from friends going “WTF IS GOING ON??”.

This is why I like travelling – because you can take yourself off somewhere and become completely absorbed in someone else’s world. Which of course helps us to understand how small and insignificant we are in the world and therefore that all that we have in our lives is valuable and important and that all the daily shit really isn’t that important in the great big scheme of life. Looking at the bigger picture helps you not mind the daily stuff we all have to bear.

Anyway, maybe I’ll find a way to talk more honestly on here again about what is currently bothering me. Or maybe I won’t, because frankly, now that our world has been reduced to 140 characters or what you can say in an Instagram photo, then maybe nobody cares about too much detail. If it’s not a quick fix, it’s not worth fixing seems to be the new mantra in this old space. Us ageing bloggers are dropping like flies. STILL. Not done yet…just trying to work out which way to go and in the meantime. YAY to Princess Charlotte. GOOD LUCK with voting on Thursday. WELL DONE to all who donated to Nepal but they need more and HAPPY MONDAY.
