OMG I’M SO EXCITED – ROD STEWART AT GLASTONBURY!! WHAT A COUP!!
A group of us saw him back in February with Jules Holland at Prism in Kingston. As avid Rod fans, none of us could quite believe it when a friend said she’d manage to pick up some £35 tickets to see the actual Man in the flesh. That one of our musical hero’s was going to perform a small pop up gig for a select few. The venue is tiny – the stage minuscule – especially when you’re trying to squeeze on a whole swing band of over 15 people.
I’ve been a lifelong fan of his and he’s still strutting his stuff spectacularly – he is the consummate performer and he will be amazing. We obviously didn’t get to hear any of his old bangers at his Swing event and that’s why I’m sooooooo excited to see him at Glastonbury where we will no doubt get “Maggie May”, “Sailing”, “The First Cut Is The Deepest” and lots of other oldies. My kids love him too – his song “Some Guys Have All The Luck” was one of my father’s favourite songs – an ode to my mother…and it became one of the family songs we all still dance to in the kitchen whenever we’re together.
I CAN’T WAIT!!

November 29, 2024Finally! A legend worth seeing at Glastonbury. Last year, ten of us were trying to buy tickets together and we had no luck.
