Now even the NHS is advocating sex as a form of exercise. This is all very well, but the article in the news today did seem to make large sweeping statements. For example the article claims that “sex uses every muscle group, gets the heart and lungs working and burns about 300 calories per hour”.
The article claims that orgasms help soften wrinkles. Omigod. Don’t tell us that – we’ll be having orgasms all over the place – much cheaper and a lot less hassle than botox and filler injections. How many do we have to have a day to remove our wrinkles completely?
The article also says that sex “can lower the risk of heart attacks and helps people live longer”. Surely this too depends on who you are having sex with. Anyone with a nasty disease isn’t going to help increase my life, neither is anyone inappropriate for whatever reason because I am far more likely to have a heart attack brought on by the levels of stress involved.
So there we are, whoever wrote the article, could you please be a little more specific and take us poor divorcees who are struggling with how to cope in our brave new world into consideration.

February 13, 2008Well, I’m going to bin the La Prairie and continue on the sex; no point in having a double whammy….(if you get my drift!)
I do look 21 you know; and now I don’t know whether it’s because we’re always bonking or because I’ve spent a fortune on face products….
If I look 71 by next week, I shall blame you!
