Oh deary me – this is likely to get very, very messy now I suspect as it has emerged that Simon Cowell has been named in the divorce papers filed by his pregnant lover Lauren Silverman’s husband Andrew.
It is quite rare to name a co-respondent and then cite adultery as the reason for ending the marriage and I assume that not only does it mean that he is very very angry but that Simon could be called to the witness stand to reveal information about his personal wealth, estimated to be in the region of £225 million, and possibly details about his relationship with Lauren.
According to Andrew’s brother Alexander, Lauren’s pregnancy does constitute a breach of trust by Simon. “It’s an unbelievable story of betrayal,” he said. “It is a sad story and a tragic story.”
Meanwhile stars have been taking to Twitter to congratulate the music mogul on the news of his impending fatherhood. His ex-girlfriend Sinitta seemed to be one of the first to hear the news, leaving a cryptic message just a few days before it became public knowledge.
“Something has just happened … half miracle, half nightmare! #WakeMeUpIWantToGetOff!!,” she wrote.
