RECIPE FOR DISASTER
Mix the following ingredients together:-
5cm snow
Three excited children
No grit on roads
Car risky
Icy pavements
Long walk to school
Airports closed
Friends stuck
Trains delayed
…and we have a complete recipe for disaster for my father’s Memorial tomorrow. Some friends have already had to cancel because they are totally snowed in. Others who were due to fly in are now taking ferries and trains……what a nightmare.
We might only get a smattering of people now. Such a shame. My mother can’t bear the thought of people having such a struggle to get to the church on time.
Bleak picture of our walk to school this morning:-

December 2, 2010your previous pictures have captured so much beauty and that one is (I’m sorry to be rude) dull and bleak and it clearly captures what is going on right now. What a dreadful state of affairs, these things do have a habit of working out and I so hope hope hope that it does this time. Hang onto the feather (in thoughts, if not physically) and know that it will all be ok. xxx

December 2, 2010My cousin is getting married at the Oratory in Birmingham on Saturday. Most of my family don’t live there so they are driving from all over the place tomorrow. Eeek. I know no one really chooses when they might need a memorial service but winter weddings? No thanks.
