A study in the paper today claims that women who never sunbathe during the summer are more likely to get skin cancer than those who sunbathe every day.
REALLY??
Does this not go against everything we’ve been told for the last ten years? Researchers in Sweden have found that being told to wear suncream and stay out of the sun may be harmful – particularly if you live in Britain. They say, “the results of this study clearly showed that mortality was about double in women who avoided sun exposure compared to the highest exposure group”.
WTF.
Honestly, could we be told anything else only to find it is totally discredited a few years later? We are all massively confused about what we are supposed to be eating – now we are allowed to go in the sun and get a tan and be safer than those who don’t?
Honestly, it’s enough to make me start smoking (again) – it’s bound to be the font of old age any minute.
I can’t cope.
Grow old disgracefully and enjoy a little of everything – I think that must be the right answer here.
