It was my birthday last week (still not a big one – phew!) and it came shortly after my daughter’s 18th so I really wasn’t expecting to do very much or for anyone to notice – but guess what! My very lovely newly grown-up proper adult daughter organised a surprise birthday drinky party for me with a friend. How amazing was that?

This is another MAJOR bonus of not having a significant other to organise things – because I had very low expectations of what was going on I could not have been more delighted.

As you will see from this teeny video my daughter took:-

Happy happy happy birthday to meeeeeeee!!!!!! Look at all my gorgeous friends who had to lay on the floor waiting for my arrival ON A MONDAY NIGHT. I’m a very lucky girl.

And look….not a man in sight!
