It’s half term. I had to teach today regardless, so asked my teenage son to look after my youngest child during the time I was out.
Teenage son was naturally still in bed at 10.30 am so I sent my child up to wake him up.
“Mum” he said in a whisper once he’d come rushing back down the stairs, “he’s lying in bed with a girl and they’re both NAKED and guess what?? He’s got a tattoo on his bum of a smiley face”.
Just great.
Not sure which problem to deal with first.

June 2, 2010How about you march up there, sit on the bed and give them a lecture about safe sex. Add in a bit about the high chance of getting Hep whatever from dirty needles used for tattoos of smiley faces on backsides, and how easy it is to pass it on to sexual partners, and she will be out of there in a flash, never to be sighted naked in his bed ever again. I doubt the lecture would have much affect really but you sitting there giving it would have to be priceless.
I have to say I have been there, done that and that is what I wished I had done instead of lamely saying “oh hello, would you like a cup of tea. I’m just making one”.

June 4, 2010Too late for all that. I’ve given him years of advice on safe sex and now all I can do is hope that some of it sank in to his pores and he is careful. Tattoos are very popular amongst his peers and I’m quite thankful that it’s somewhere hidden and not on his face!! Lx

June 4, 2010I adore tattoos and don’t for a second regret having any of them, I’m currently getting a dragon tattoo down my right arm can’t wait to get it finished! as can only afford smallsittings at anytime. My local tattoo artist is very good and also extremly expensive but, he’s worth it! Great site btw

June 5, 2010Hehehehe, sorry shouldn’t laugh. The tattoo will come back to haunt him in later life anyway! 😀 as for sex… if your old enough to do it, you’re old enough to face the consequences :). My dad once took the broom handle and started banging the ceiling underneath my room with it when I was a teen and yelled “STOP SHAGGING” – hilarious now but absolutely mortifying then. I seem to remember also one Saturday morning he decided to do the hoovering outside my bedroom on the hall landing and opened the door slightly to hoover under the door (not enough to see anything, although we were only sleeping) I was just horrified. I think embarrassing me was his way of dealing with it!
Nice to see you sounding happy with BB x

June 5, 2010Thanks Claire, although embarrassingly for my children it seems that it might be the other way around – not good when their mother as a new/old boyfriend! Lx
