I HAVE TOO MUCH TO DO. Ridiculous day ahead. It’s 6.30 ish. YES I KNOW I SHOULDN’T BE BLOGGING. But it’s in order to collect my thoughts. Maybe.
I have a moustache stuck to my arm. My 9 year old is already up and wandering around saying “WHERE’S MY EYE THING???” blaming his sister. He’s lost his monacle. He’s off to school dressed as a Victorian male this morning. No idea how we’re going to come up with an outfit before I set off at 7.15 to the hospital with my teenage son for an MRI scan.
7.20am – Youngest son to friends house to go up to school
7.30am – Take teenage son to hospital to have an MRI scan on his shoulder. He’s really looking forward to being stuck in a tube for half an hour. Says he’s going to fall asleep. Might ask if they’ve got a spare one I can get in to.
8.30am – Hopefully get teenage son to school in time to get to the studio where I’m covering three classes back to back this morning including my one to one with the woman who has MS. Just realised no idea how my daughter is going to school (briefly stop to shout at her to get up. She’ll have to come early with us). SHIT PACKED LUNCH??
1.30pm – Get home in time to call British Gas – broken radiators. Washing machine/dryer broken too.
Might in fact have a bit of a break if I can get through to anyone helpful on the phone before 3.30pm when I pick up my kids from school
4.30pm – 6.30pm Got to meet daughters teachers to discuss GCSE options – haven’t even looked at her GCSE options yet. Although she knows what she wants to do. I think.
The worst thing is that I’m distracted. My father is back in hospital. He’s feeling absolutely horrendous. Really sick. They’ve readmitted him to do yet more tests. He’s on a drip. He’s on strong antibiotics and my poor mother who is only just recovering from her 10 hour back operation has to keep driving him to and from hospital when she’s not even meant to drive and even worse that that she can’t even go and visit him in his ward because they’ve shut it down owing to a major outbreak of Norovirus – which is all he bloody needs on top of feeling so ill.
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER – need to call him ASAP and sing down the phone with the children (really badly). It’s a family tradition.
