Loving London this weekend in all the sunshine and WELL DONE to Sadiq Khan for becoming the new mayor of London. How exciting and we are all hopeful that he will do a good job. He fought a dignified battle and I believe it to be a personal triumph for him, rather than for the Labour party. It hasn’t gone amiss that Jeremy Corbyn was not at his signing in ceremony and that there are never any photos of them together.
Zac, on the other hand did not come over well. I’m not sure who was leading his campaign, but all the wrong messages kept coming across and the last minute panic addition of all his green credentials were far too late. Just as his Jemima, his sister said, it was disappointing that the campaign failed to identify the man he was. Anyway, he lost my vote as soon as he announced he was in support of Brexit.
Very proud to be living in London today – such an exciting, multi-cultural city and hopefully Sadiq will be the person to unite the city even more.
Friday night I was out in town watching BUG (see separate review) – loving the colour on the way home via the tube:-
