What a week that was. From the biggest upset in American politics to the smallest activities going on in my house, it’s been a big old week and I’m exhausted both physically and emotionally. We’ve had two birthday’s – my daughter’s 21st and then my birthday a few days later and Remembrance Day. In the midst of it was the World Travel Market, the international travel show which brings the world of tourism to London.
So here’s a little photo reminder of my week that was…
My daughter’s 21st – a 12 hour marathon party:-
Trust me to be working on the Mexico stand at WTM the day the election results came out, all we can do is now wait to see how things play out. I’ve been avoiding reading much about it – too much negativity:-
Me on the Mexican stand with their Xipes (dancers):-
I loved this one the most – this sums up all that is good about tourism and inclusion – the Masai Warriors popped by for a team photo:-
Then, after three long days we moved onto my birthday – Remembrance Day, starting with breakfast in bed made by my youngest and tallest child, followed by a two minute silence and a walk in Richmond Park which was just beautiful:-
The girls on the walk for my birthday – I look like Voldemort in the middle – which is always a good look:-
Lunch at The Petersham Nurseries cafe – one of my favourite places:-
My children’s birthday table for me:-
Birthday flowers and sweeties:-
Our alcoholic cat:-
Birthday family selfie:-
Sunday night. PHEW.. and time to snuggle up under the best birthday present my daughter received – an electric throw which she says is like being back in the womb and watch Planet Earth with Grandma:-
How I’m feeling now:-
