WHAT’S IN YOUR HANDBAG?

I was asked the other day if I would like to do a post on the contents of my handbag – with a view, I assume, of including a lovely branded product of some description. It didn’t take me long to realise that I was not the blogger for the job. The contents of my handbag are frankly not a marketing manager’s dream. I have seen many beautiful photographs of numbered items along with detailed descriptions of why you too should have this product in your bag. Clearly not going to do a “how to pack your bag” blog post either because it all gets stuffed in at the last moment. I would love to have a “capsule wardrobe” – but no chance – I always pack far too much, mainly of things that I never normally wear that I imagine I am going to start wearing for some unknown reason in another country. Nothing goes with anything else and I always forget the right shoes. Oh and everything is nearly always black.

Anyway, back to the handbag challenge. I thought I’d give it a quick go – but honestly, there is no point. Look at the state of it (clearly worried about state of breath with all those mints I had forgotten were there!):-

Which is frankly a horrible mess – even if I love my Disney thingy and the make-up bag my children bought me from Links a few Christmas’s ago at vast expense, but its worth it because it’s shiny and lasts a long time. WHY do I have so many pens?

So until I sort myself out, I am going to have to stick to what I know. That is writing rubbish and staying away from too many stylised photographs – as I can’t pretend that is what my life is all about.
