So the winners of the BAFTA Children’s Awards 2016 were announced last night at the Roundhouse and I could not be more proud of my friend, who invited me to the BAFTA Children’s Awards.
It is testament to her massive success with what started as a dream, that she was hosting the After Party. Mrs Bananagrams. Really a brilliant story. I remember sitting with her having coffee when she first started talking about the plan to invent a new game…and now it’s everywhere and pretty much everyone knows the games they have to offer at Bananagrams. Just goes to show what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

It was a mucho fun night out with a lot of talent in the room (and a lot of Tattinger which helped). I just wish my children were a lot younger (and me) so that I knew more of the actors and presenters of the current children’s programme landscape. The Clangers are still getting shortlisted and so is Blue Peter and Floella Benjamin was there and ALSO, I did know Casper Lee, the Youtuber (who’s even been to my house), which gave me a few Brownie points so chatted with him for a while – he was there to present the Short Form Award.
