I am very excited. I did something today that I haven’t done for 34 years. I went to a girlfriend’s yoga workshop…

AND DID A HANDSTAND!

Then another one.

Then my wrists gave way and I nearly broke my neck.

Then I did a headstand.

Then I felt sick and nearly passed out.

Then I felt a huge feeling of achievement. The fear factor. It’s a big deal.

There is nothing like reverting to childish behaviour to make one feel young again. Try it. Do a roly poly.

How’s the bed? Have you ordered an ‘ergo’ mattress plus super support? That’s the only way to get rid of backache (apart from vino and drugs). And make sure that the mattress is very hard. Medium-hard isn’t good enough as they go soft as quick as mens’ willies. And that’s a FACT.

    Me too!!!
I mean that I did my first handstand in well over a decade, last week. I was so excited, but only managed one.
But I will persevere and try again.
    Well done to you.

I’m off to do a Bikram Yoga weekend early May; any hints or tips to get in shape beforehand?…would quite like to walk away from the venue rather than be airlifted!

Thanks Zed – will check out Ergo beds – annoying though as just spent fortune on other mattress Lx

How did you get on Reasons 2b cheerful? I hope you didn’t damage anything? L

Well done Mums the Word – how great is that! Do another one….it’s made me want to do handstands against the wall in my house – but I’m a bit scared again! Lx

“m” – haven’t done Bikram yoga – v intense – you’ll be fine, but don’t take them up on the offer of cheap classes every day for a week. You’ll die. Drink lots of water and only do it twice in one week. Lx

    Never say never FFF!!! Lx

I did my roly poly. Kids laughed, dog looked a bit disturbed and I knocked the pot pourri all over the place as I nearly landed in the fireplace. Think I’ll give the headstand a miss.

Brilliant RTBC 123 – at least you gave the kids a laugh. You need to try the headstand. Just make sure you do it against a wall and get your husband to hold you up Lx
