Last day of the holidays for child number 3. Poor thing. He’s had his older brother and sister relentlessly asking him what he’s doing tomorrow, thinking they are being hilarious. My teenage son doesn’t go back for another week. I’m back at work tomorrow too. Not in the mood yet. Must get my professional head and body back on which is not easy having treated my body like a pub rather than a temple for the last three weeks.
Earlier today as my son was pretending to do some work he said “oh, did you know that your daughter’s new Facebook status is “I’ve now got five piercings!!”. Bloody hell. “Please let them all be in the vicinity of her ears and nowhere else” I was thinking. She told me she was going to get another hole in her ear, maybe two. But I’d already banned the “cartilage” option. Anyway, she now has multiple piercings – three earrings in one ear and two in the other. Actually they look quite good. I don’t really mind. Lets hope she stops there.
I am hoping that nobody notices my nose injury when I’m back at work tomorrow. Yesterday at lunch I was accused of having a drug problem because I’ve managed to scrape the inside of one nostril. Embarrassingly I had an accident whilst taking off my clothes after my ridiculous teenage party the other night and managed to get a button stuck up my nose. Not very cool. Would have preferred to say that my septum was ruptured owing to serious drug problem. Not a bloody button problem.

January 4, 2010If you want to convince everyone that you have a drug problem, just start using surfing terms from time to time. Words such as dude, rip, hang and score. Also rub your nose from time to time and sniff. I am continuously told that the whole world is doped up to the eyeballs….except for me it seems. Are we missing out?

January 5, 2010The button injury is hilarious!! Piercings can can be taken out never to be seen again, but it’s when tatoos become the topic of discussion that you need to start worrying. Happy new year to you all. Aus was fab – want to live there! Lots of the good stuff x

January 5, 2010How on EARTH did you manage to get a button stuck up your nose while taking off your clothes? Stick to the drug problem excuse – nobody will believe that either.

January 5, 2010Well. I know. Not cool – just a bit too enthusiastically trying to take off top whilst slightly swaying I suspect. A one in a million chance of ever getting it up my nose again!! Lx
