I was going to write a post all about how strange my week has been, but in the meantime, I have decided that yesterday’s news deserves a brief mention all of it’s own.

My mother is furious. She has had a call from the care home where my grandmother lives. They have said she is no longer welcome to stay. She needs to go somewhere else. She punched another woman in the face yesterday.

At 97!! She’s been expelled for punching somebody in the face. It can’t have hurt much – she’s tiny – but I guess that is not the point.

Of course it’s awful news and she is in disgrace and my mother was cross with me for finding it funny. I can’t believe that they’re going to kick her out – surely they have to deal with that sort of stuff between mad old ladies all the time.

I have a delinquent grandmother as well as delinquent children. My cup runneth over.

I am so sorry about your Dad. Its si gutwrenchingly difficuot to be so helpless in the face of someone’s pain. Mine is not allowing us to go and see him in Pretoria but if I come into some dosh I may just ignore him and dash over..argh…just hate thinking of it. Your Dad’s weight loss is scary. Huge pies are te only way!
I am also sorry so sorry so very sorry about yur friend Eva. You hang on in there. Grief is simple. It must have its say or else it comes at us in ways we cant cope with, I can’t sponsor you at the moment but when it IS possible I will!!!
Sorry – rambling..tired. Swimming wear model eh?? MUST post them photos!!!

“I don’t think she did anything….my Grandmother just didn’t like her!”

I only hope that at 97 I am

    a, Alive!

b, Assuming the above, that I still a fraction of her spirit…

Surely they have a system for this sort if incident, a “Delinquent Granny Plan” she can’t be the only thug in the village!

It is sort of funny, but does that mean she won’t get a good reference for another home? Eek.

well, I don’t think I should but after crying at other posts this one made me laugh.
We shouldnt condemn violence at any age but at 97 frankly I find it funny.
She may have been resisting the temptation to hit someone for 97 years and just thought now whats the point! I love it!

I do hope you get better news for your Dad.
    xoxo
