Oh no got to be quick, I’m on about minus 3 hours currently and it can only get worse. Which means I am very likely to do what I say I will never do again every year and that is to wrap the children’s presents when I am horribly pissed at about 3am. Not good. A complete mess in fact.
I have deposited my children at my ex’s which was more OK than I thought it was going to be. The trick is to be busy. My family are all arriving in a minute and my boyfriend is coming so I will wake up to an entirely different experience – no children jumping on me at a hideously early hour – although now I come to think of it, the alternative could be even worse ….
One small bonus is that I am not in charge of welcoming Father Christmas this year, which means I will not be caught by my son spitting little bits of carrot all over the place “MUM WHAT ARE YOU DOING, THOSE ARE FOR THE REINDEER!”.
