LIVE SKETCH ARTIST

I have a friend who is a very talented artist. She has recently found herself in popular demand as a live sketch artist, owing to her ability to capture the essence of a person in a quick ten minute live sketch. So clever! So I just wanted to do a post to show some of her work off and help get the word out to a wider audience. So if you are looking for something a bit different as a form of entertainment for an event, she would be perfect.

Look! She even managed to capture my delight at being this close to David Gandy at a recent event and now that I have it as a sketch I can get it framed and pretend to my Grandchildren that we posed together for a portrait for hours on end:-

She recently was invited by Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park to do sketches of people at their charity spring lunch, where below you can see her passing on her illustration of Samantha Bond:-

Throughout the day she illustrated different people in ten minute sketches and all were delighted by her ability to capture the beauty and fashionable highlights of each person. Before too long the line began to form for a ‘me next please’ request.

She would be the perfect addition to a wedding, birthday or corporate event – as a different form of “entertainment”, capturing the guests in a wonderfully bespoke and special way, so much better than a photograph! It is being taken by storm in the US as Kathy’s contemporary Rosemary Fanti (a Chicago illustrator) has kindly given Kathy advice of how to develop the business. Kathy can also create detailed studio illustrations after the wedding and highlights of your special day.
