Quite funny really – I got my results back from my MRI scan and everything is “OK”. By that, I can assume that there is no obvious reason as to why my back hurts other than general “wear and tear” and dehydrated joints. The solution according to my consultant? “Take up Pilates”. Didn’t he read my notes? I told him I was a bloody pilates teacher. Imagine what I’d be like then if I wasn’t doing Pilates three times a day….

My son has decided to go to a different party tonight. “He’s a friend of a friend and I’ve been invited, loads of us are going” “No I don’t know how I’m getting there or how I’m getting back. “No, I don’t know his name, but I’m IN-VIT-ED”, he said loudly and slowly like I was really dim….Hmmm, not good – he’s clearly a gatecrasher and I don’t know whether to let him go or not….”why don’t you trust me, bla, bla, bla…”. It’s miserable being a parent, you can never get it right.

I have my children this weekend, which doesn’t actually mean that I will spend any time with them, it just means that I am nominated chauffeur and chef and general dogs body. My daughter is at a party and coming back with a friend to stay the night. My son is randomly roaming about London in a worrying way. Tomorrow I have two boys to take to football/rugby matches respectively and a daughter to take to a netball match. Then I have to rush back to entertain 20 girls who are hyper-active on account of all the chocolate they are going to consume and then on Sunday I have two football matches to watch at the same time and an entire house smeared in chocolate to clean. Can’t bloody wait.
