AT LAST – I have something to write about that’s going to give me masses of random hits! Sorry if you’re looking for the latest Sexuality LifeStyle Expo currently on in Sydney rather than the ramblings of a single parent about family life – it’s just that I’ve had a FaceTime call with my friends in Oz who are currently very kindly looking after my son and his girlfriend and apparently the boys are off there later this evening – much to the horror of their respective girlfriends.
My friend rang me their early evening time – my just getting out of bed looking like shit time. I had to put my dressing gown on as I was speaking to them (subtly of course) but I have never heard so much laughing about what a state I looked. NOT FUNNY. They’re all roaming about in shorts and no t-shirts and they’ve been lounging by a pool eating Twisties all day today (which was my staple diet when I lived in Hong Kong) and generally doing exactly what I want to be doing. Instead I was trying to get clothes out of the dryer, feed the children and get dressed all at the same time as try and sound like I was really happy to be here, not there. I think if this is the way forward for communication then I’m going to have to sort out my lighting – maybe special effect lighting from bedroom to kitchen for maximum complimentary help. Or maybe next time I could just pretend we’ve had a power cut and talk in near darkness.
Anyway. SEXPO. The boys have already bought the tickets – they’ve gone for VIP entry instead of general entry (hope that’s not a sexual reference) and with that they get to have their photo taken with porn stars. Given that they met at nursery I might just have to send a photograph of the two of them together to their nursery teacher – just to show her what a long way they’ve come…(not another sexual reference I promise).
