I am worried about things today…

My 95 year old grandmother has fallen over and broken her wrist and bruised her face and I can’t bear it. It’s bad enough falling over when you’re little, but the thought of falling at her age is awful. Getting old is rubbish. She’s had to go and stay with my parents whilst she recuperates. Poor thing.

I have an uncle who is gravely ill who I am thinking about and wish I could be nearer to so that I could help and give him a hug and be with the rest of his family to do the same.

I have a mother who is worried about both her own mother and her brother and who is in constant pain with a back injury.

I have a friend who’s 18 year old son was rushed into hospital with suspected meningitis yesterday. He has a blinding headache and a high temperature and a sore neck.

I have four friends who have been really badly burgled recently and I presume if that is the case then everybody has noticed an increase in burglaries and with Christmas round the corner and the dire economic situation this is only going to get worse.

Sometimes I really wish I had a magic wand.
